About Jake

Jake Gevorgian is a master woodworker and the founder of Palo Arte Woodworks in Los Angeles. With more than 20 years of hands-on experience, Jake specializes in high-end custom kitchen cabinets, fine furniture, architectural millwork, and artistic woodturning.

His work is defined by a respect for traditional techniques — expert dovetail joinery, mortise and tenon construction, hand-planed surfaces, and meticulous book-matching of walnut, oak, and other premium hardwoods. Jake’s philosophy centers on sustainability, using responsibly sourced or reclaimed California woods whenever possible.

Clients across Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, Venice, Pacific Palisades, and beyond trust Jake for his ability to translate architectural visions into functional works of art. His furniture and cabinetry have been featured in distinguished private residences and gallery exhibitions.

When not in the workshop, Jake shares his craft through YouTube tutorials, Instagram process videos, and occasional live turning demonstrations. He is passionate about mentoring apprentices and preserving the art of fine woodworking for future generations.
